Essential Steps Programme: (Essential steps to safe, clean care: reducing healthcare-associated infections)

Designed to assist organisations with the national target of reducing avoidable healthcare associated infections, the Synbiotix Essential Steps programme provides a framework with which organisations can work towards and monitor their progress against this target.

The Synbiotix Essential Steps programme is designed to work across organisations, clinical practice areas and clinical teams. It provides a highly intuitive, cost effective and efficient mechanism, whereby organisations can assess their performance, evaluate their current practice against the national guidance and provide immediate visibility of areas for concentrated focus for improvements.

The Essential Steps programme is an electronic web-based system which enables fast and efficient data capture and immediate reporting on the compliance and performance for the Essential Steps. The system also facilitates continuous direct data capture of observations of each of the published Essential Steps(across a selected time period) from the clinical areas and immediately aggregates and analyses the data to produce immediate results.

Results are immediately uploaded into the clinical area dashboard, which in turn immediately populates the organisational Executive Dashboard.
